Prismara OS system requirements

Check that your PC meets these requirements before you install Prismara OS.
Hardware
Section titled “Hardware”| Component | Minimum | Recommended |

| Display | 1280 × 720 | 1920 × 1080 or higher |
| Internet | Needed to download Prismara OS and updates | Broadband |
Firmware and Secure Boot
Section titled “Firmware and Secure Boot”- Your PC must start in UEFI mode. Older PCs that only support legacy BIOS start-up aren’t supported.
- Personal and Business work with Secure Boot left on, on most modern PCs.
- Enterprise can use organisation-managed Secure Boot keys. Your IT team prepares the PC for this.
- A TPM 2.0 chip is recommended. Most PCs made in the last several years have one.
Not supported
Section titled “Not supported”- 32-bit processors.
- Computers with ARM processors, including Macs with Apple silicon.
- PCs that can only start in legacy BIOS mode.
Installation media
Section titled “Installation media”- A USB drive of at least 8 GB to create the installer.
