Install the Prismara ZTNA client

The Prismara ZTNA client runs on your computer and connects you to the private apps your organisation has published for you. This article shows you how to install it.

Before you begin

You need a Prismara account with access to Prismara ZTNA. If you don’t see ZTNA in the app list after signing in, ask your administrator.
You need administrator rights on your computer (sudo on Linux) to install the client. On managed work devices, your IT team may install it for you.
Check that your computer meets the system requirements.

Download and install

Go to https://ztna.prismara.eu, sign in, and select Download client > Linux.
Choose the package for your distribution: .deb (Debian, Ubuntu) or .rpm (Fedora, RHEL).

Install the package in a terminal:

# Debian or Ubuntu
sudo apt install ./prismara-ztna_amd64.deb

# Fedora or RHEL
sudo dnf install ./prismara-ztna.x86_64.rpm

Open Prismara ZTNA from your applications menu. An icon appears in the system tray or top bar.

If your desktop doesn’t show tray icons, you can use the command-line client instead. Run prismara-ztna --help to see the available commands.

Go to https://ztna.prismara.eu, sign in, and select Download client > Windows.
Run PrismaraZTNA.msi. If Windows asks whether to allow the app to make changes, select Yes.
Follow the installer and select Finish.

Prismara ZTNA starts and appears in the notification area of the taskbar.

Administrators can deploy PrismaraZTNA.msi silently with a device management tool such as Microsoft Intune:

msiexec /i PrismaraZTNA.msi /qn

Go to https://ztna.prismara.eu, sign in, and select Download client > macOS.
Open PrismaraZTNA.pkg and follow the installer.
When macOS asks to add VPN configurations or allow a network extension, select Allow. Enter your Mac password if prompted.

On managed Macs, administrators can pre-approve the network extension with a configuration profile so that users aren’t prompted.

Verify

Open the client from the system tray, notification area or menu bar. You see the Sign in button.

Next, connect to private apps.
