Create and send a quote

A quote sets out the work and items you are offering a customer and what they will cost.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- You need a role in Prismara ERP that can create quotes, such as Sales or Project manager.
- The customer must exist under Customers, with a billing currency set.
Create the quote
Section titled “Create the quote”-
In Prismara ERP, select Quotes > New quote.

Choose the Customer, for example
Fabrikam. The Currency and VAT rate fill in from the customer record. -
Enter a Title and a Valid until date.

Select Add line and choose a line type:
- Service — days or hours at a rate, for example 5 days of consultancy.
- Resale item — something you will buy for the customer and bill on, for example a laptop. Enter the cost and your sale price.
- Fixed fee — a single price for a defined piece of work.

Repeat for each line. The Subtotal, VAT and Total update as you go.

Select Save as draft.
Send the quote
Section titled “Send the quote”-
Select Preview to check the PDF the customer will see.

Select Send, check the recipient, for example
alex.muster@contoso.example, and select Send again. The status changes to Sent.
Convert an accepted quote
Section titled “Convert an accepted quote”-
When the customer accepts, open the quote and select Mark as accepted.

Select Convert to project. Prismara ERP creates a project with the budget, tasks and resale items from the quote.
