Install the Prismara Talk desktop app

The Prismara Talk desktop app gives you the same chats, channels and meetings as the web app, plus desktop notifications and quicker access to calls. This article shows you how to install it on your own computer.

Before you begin

Section titled “Before you begin”
  • You need a Prismara account with access to Prismara Talk. If you can’t open Talk in your browser, ask your administrator to assign it to you.
  • Check that your computer meets the system requirements.
  • On a managed work device, your IT team may install the app for you. If installation is blocked, contact your IT team rather than trying to work around it.

Download and install

  1. Sign in to Prismara Talk in your browser at https://talk.prismara.eu.

  2. Select your profile picture, then select Download desktop app > Windows.

  3. Open the downloaded file, PrismaraTalkSetup.exe.

  4. If Windows asks whether to allow the app to make changes, select Yes.

  5. Follow the installer and select Finish. Prismara Talk opens automatically and adds a shortcut to the Start menu.

Sign in to the desktop app

  1. In Prismara Talk, select Sign in. Your default browser opens the Prismara sign-in page.

  2. Sign in with your Prismara account and complete multi-factor authentication if prompted.

  3. When your browser asks to open Prismara Talk, select Open Prismara Talk. The desktop app finishes signing you in.

Verify

Section titled “Verify”

Your chats and channels appear in the left-hand pane, and your name and status appear when you select your profile picture.

The app updates itself automatically. To check, select your profile picture > About > Check for updates.
