Start or schedule a meeting

You can start a meeting straight away from any chat or channel, or schedule one for later and send invitations. People outside your organisation can join as guests from their browser.

• Sign in to Prismara Talk in your browser or the desktop app.
• Make sure you have a microphone, and a camera if you want to use video. A headset gives the best audio quality.
• Your administrator decides whether external guests are allowed. If you can’t see Copy guest link, guest access is turned off for your organisation.

1. Open the chat or channel you want to meet with.

2. Select Meet now in the conversation header. Choose Audio call for a voice-only call.

3. On the pre-join screen, check your devices, then select Join now. Everyone in the chat, or members of the channel, are notified.

1. Select Meetings in the left-hand bar, then select Schedule meeting.

2. Enter a Title, then set the Start and End time.

3. In Attendees, add people from your organisation by name.

4. Select Save. Attendees receive an invitation with a join link.

1. Open the scheduled meeting, or in a meeting in progress select People.

2. Select Invite guest.

3. Enter the guest’s email address, for example alex@fabrikam.example, and select Send invite. Alternatively, select Copy guest link and send it yourself.

4. When the guest joins, they wait in the Lobby. Select Admit next to their name to let them in.

1. On the pre-join screen, or during a meeting, select More (the three dots) > Device settings.

2. Choose your Microphone, Speaker and Camera from the lists.

3. Speak and watch the level indicator under Microphone move. Select Play test sound to check your speaker.

1. In the meeting, select Share.

2. Choose Entire screen or a single Window, then select Share. A coloured border shows what others can see.

3. To stop, select Stop sharing in the meeting controls.

The first time you share on macOS, or on some Linux desktops, your system asks for permission. See Troubleshoot Prismara Talk if others see a blank screen.

Attendees appear in the People pane, and others confirm they can hear you and see your shared screen.
